EPA considers the economic empowerment of families in rural Syria an important means of achieving population stability and supporting early recovery of communities to become self-reliant in securing their basic needs and reducing dependence on emergency aid. In this project, women-led families were supported to start their own projects in protected agriculture and food processing. Beneficiaries included samples of host, displaced and returnee families. The project impact measurement showed that the projects were successful and provided sustainable income for families that contributed to exp anding the projects and achieving additional financial benefits.
